Wednesday September 4th.
Arrived at JFK Airport, we took the Uber straight to Airbnb, which was available to us for ten days. As expected, the apartment had a charming interior with an ideal size and perfect location; in the middle of the absolute gallery district and thus in the heart of Chelsea. We were able to drive from meeting to meeting in a very short time.
After briefly repacking, we drove straight to the New York Art Gallery, where we prepared for the vernissage the next day. In order to make the jewelry collection even more radiant, we have provided an appropriate presentation. During the construction, you got into conversation with various artists who were also preparing for the vernissage and who stood by their art with full vigor. A nearby Italian restaurant was able to recharge our energy, which was then used for the next day.

After our arrival at the JFK Airport, we took an Uber and drove directly to our Airbnb, which was available to us for 10 days. As expected, the apartment was fairly charming. It had a perfect size and the position was flawless; in the absolute Gallery district, thus in the heart of Chelsea. This way, it was possible to drive from one meeting to another in no time.
After offloading our stuff, we drove directly to the New York art gallery, where we prepared ourselves for the vernissage happening the next day. To ensure that the jewelry collection shone even brighter, we made sure it had enough exposure. While in the building, we engaged in discussions with several artists, who had prepared themselves as well for the vernissage. In fact, the stand was full of momentum of their art. Then we felt a proximate Italian restaurant could reload our energy a bit and would come handy for the next day.

Thursday 5th September.
We enjoyed morning coffee at Uber as the meeting with the Oxford Fashion Studio team was announced early. The most important things were then discussed: the process, the looks and the further preparations for the upcoming show. Time was running, and so did we, because the vernissage soon began, for which we always had a lot to do. So we went back to the gallery and we were able to cope with the rest of the construction. At six o'clock in the evening the first guests soon arrived, lingered in the art on display and were enthusiastic. Visitors of all categories were drawn into the spell of beauty by Lesunja's works of art. People laughed, drank and talked a lot about art. After a successful evening we met with the gallery owners and other artists in a bar to enjoy a drink to celebrate the day.

Friday September 6th.
The fitting went on and on: For the first time there was the opportunity to meet the models so that they could try on the clothes and of course the jewelry. In the Dot Studio, a loft-like, modern room south of the Hudson shipyard, the “Ocean xxy” collection appeared in a perfect location. James, Michael, Daria and Rob enjoyed being the carriers of valuable material and rehearsing for their appearance on the catwalk. Small changes such as shortening the clothes have also been made. We spent the afternoon in the gallery, where we again presented the jewelry in the showcases. We later took the time to enjoy New York for ourselves, visiting what is probably the busiest place in the world - Time Square.

At the fitting we had the first opportunity to get to know the models such that they were able to try on the dresses and, of course, the jewelry. In the Dot Studio, we got a perfect location for the fitting. It was a loft-like, modern room in the south of the Hudson Yard, perfect for the ocean xxy collection. James, Michael, Daria and Rob enjoyed being the carriers of the precious materials and they also rehearsed for their performance on the catwalk. They tried to perfect every step, every swaying of the hips, and their composure regardless of whatever happened. Small changes such as the shortening of clothes were made as well. We spent the afternoon in the gallery, where we, again, presented the pieces of jewelry in the showcases. Later, we took the time to enjoy New York for ourselves and visited the probably busiest place in the world – The Time Square.

Sunday September 8th.
After dreaming yesterday evening, we made our way back to the gallery because the last day of the exhibition was imminent. In between, we took the time to get inspiration from other art and fashion designers. In the "NYFW: The Shows" studio, in the heart of Fashion Week, the two sisters Raisa and Vanessa presented their latest SS20 collection in a catwalk show. The fashion became popular with viewers with a lot of glamor and a Latino sound.
Inspired by the Latin American flair, we wanted to be drawn to an American fashion show. The official "TommyxZendaya" show took place outside of New York. We got there too late, but we could find one or two stars on the red carpet.

Monday 9th September.
In addition to the NYA gallery in Tribeca, some also immersed the 1stDibs exhibition in the New York art scene. The exhibits were curated and lavishly staged - from works of art to antiques of all kinds. But saturated with art, the appetite for food caught up with us. The best oysters in town were then served in a specialty restaurant of Dutch origin. So we were sufficiently full and in a good mood for the rest of the day.

In addition to the NYA Gallery in Tribeca, some also immersed the 1stDibs exhibition in the New York art scene. The exhibition objects were curated in contrast and elaborately staged – from works of art to antiques of all kinds. It was as if they saw every part of the artworks per time. We indeed had a splendid for the eyes. Every work of art has a story to tell, an emotion to express, and a message to pass. Saturated with art, however, the desire to eat caught up with us. In a special restaurant of Dutch origin, the best oysters of the city were served. For the rest of the day, we were saturated and in a good mood.

You always take your time for some sightseeing, because the Statue of Liberty is a must every time you visit the US metropolis! Since the ship is the only way to get directly to the landmark, we didn't miss this opportunity and so we walked from the ship up to the base. The view of the Manhattan skyline was gigantic! Here you could really let your eyes wander into the distance. We later turned off tourist mode again and headed to a design event organized by the Flying Solo agency. Many young designers and other creative minds presented their collections in the designer shop. We ended the evening comfortably in the rooftop bar "the PUBLIC".

Taking every bit of the view like one that was tasting honey for the first time, we were astounded by its beauty. The view of the Manhattan skyline was gigantic! Here, you can really let your gaze into the distance.
Later, we dropped the tourist mode again and set off for a designer event organized by the Flying Solo agency. The photo shoot was at the top of the to-do list for the Ocean xxy collection. After various preparations in the apartment regarding the look and the location, we drove to the gallery. There was also the meeting point with our favorite catwalk models Daria and Kwesi, the talented New York photographer. We started filming right at the pier in New Jersey. In keeping with the midday sun, the first look was the seahorse set. The crab set was the perfect choice for the golden hour, as the setting sun was reflected in the water, making it an incredible photo opportunity. In the twilight, the Paraiba tourmaline shimmered in its turquoise color and could make the waves set shine through the moonlight. The last look was the headphones, which impressed in combination with the skyline and the moon. The photo shoot lasted around four hours, during which Kwesi photographed the four looks. Hungry but happy with the result, we enjoyed a delicious meal right on the pier. In memory of the terrible incident 18 years ago, we enjoyed the sight of the two spotlights that shone brightly into the sky from the former twin towers.

Now that we were through all the filming and show stress, we had time to get inspired. The Metropolitan Museum of Art was an ideal place for this, because since June you can explore the exhibition “Jewelry for America” in the museum. Fascination and enthusiasm are experienced in every cultural encounter in the museum.
In the afternoon the party of all parties took place in New York; an influencer casting event with Metropolitan Magazine as the organizer. There we met the wildest creatures who followed the creed shrilly and conspicuously. The newcomers presented themselves to the jury with the utmost confidence. Your goal: to be discovered and supported as an influencer. We spent the evening relaxing with shopping and dining at Chelsea Market.
